The Taylor name is arguably the most famous of names in Western Australia racing. There isn’t a major race in WA that Jim Taylor hasn’t won as a jockey or as a trainer. In fact, he rode the winner of Ascot Gold Cup, the day his daughter Brittany was born.
Jim Taylor’s first major winner was Country Blazer in 2001 and first Group One winner was Barakey in the 2012 WATC Winterbottom Stakes. The most recent major winner for Jim Taylor was at the highest level when Magnifisio won the Group One WATC Winterbottom Stakes. Watch his trainer pitch below:
