What Is in a name?

Queensland champ Vo Rogue’s ‘catch me if you can’ tear way style of racing thrilled race fans around Australia for many years. This true legend of the turf and his knockabout trainer, ex-boxer (and rogue) Vic Rail, epitomised the Queensland fighting spirit.

Billy loves racing

As a former trackwork jockey for the Gai Waterhouse, Billy Slater is supremely qualified to lead (but not ride for) the Rogues and his beloved Queensland.
After losing the weight battle to become a jockey, his second career choice of rugby league player turned out pretty well. He played a remarkable 31 State of Origins, won The Dally M, 2 premierships, captained his “Mighty Maroons” and, for good measure was also voted the best player in the world in 2008.
Continuing his lifetime passion for the sport, Billy and his wife Nicole (who met at Pony Club) have now formed Slater Thoroughbreds.

Join Billy in the Queensland Rogues and let’s lead TRL from go to whoa!
