What is Micro-Syndication?
The “Sport of Kings” is well-named due to the significant expense associated with owning racehorses. It has, therefore, for hundreds of years been dominated by the wealthy. Owning elite racehorses has previously been unachievable, with most of us destined to watch a...

VIC HUSSLERS HORSES
When you purchase a unit in the VIC Husslers you own your share of a seven-horse racing team. Each year new horses are purchased on behalf of owners in the Vic Husslers and trained by leading trainers across Victoria. You will race against the best from around Australia.
Team Captain
This son of champion European sire Galileo was identified by TRL’s bloodstock team as a stayer with plenty of ability, who can rattle off impressive sectionals and handles all types of going.
Team Captain has had 30 starts for 6 wins, 4 seconds and 4 thirds. Earning for his owners $300,000. He is one of those few horses who lives for 3200m racing. The dream is Team Captain takes out the Sydney Cup, Adelaide Cup or Melbourne Cup in 2023. What a thrill this may prove to be for Husslers owners!
Eureka Storm (Written Tycoon x Tornado Miss)
Eureka Storm (Written Tycoon/ Tornado Miss) is a 3yo gelding that his trainer’s Price/Kent had a big opinion of as an early 2yo. Winning 2yo trials against what proved to be Victoria’s Blue Diamond horses all pointed toward a very exciting future for Eureka Storm, however, a throat issue has held Eureka Storm back from fulfilling his potential so far, with this now resolved Eureka Storm is poised to fulfil that potential we know he has, and the Vic Husslers can not wait to see where it leads.
The Big Freeze (Pride Of Dubai X Just Add Water)
The Big Freeze…Well, isn’t this bloke quite the personality? Also a 3yo gelding. The early signs were not good. His trainer Peter Moody was ready to move on after two starts as a 2yo. However, TBF (named after the wonderful MND charity) has obviously got his life in order and has come back as 3yo and just keeps getting better with every run. Any horse that keeps improving is a horse of real interest and The Husslers problem child just might prove to be one of their best yet.
Lethal Thoughts (So You Think X St Remy)
Lethal Thoughts was just inches away from a $10m plus outcome for his Vic Hussler owners in the stallion making JJ Atkins as a 2yo. In a race where everything that could go wrong, did go wrong watch him remarkably keep coming to attack the line.

Edges of Dreams (Pierro x Life On The Edge)
Pierro needs no introduction. He was the unbeaten Triple Crown winner as a 2YO and a dual Gr. 1 winner as a 3YO. Pierro is the highest-rated Australian juvenile since 1977, and was the highest-rated 3YO sprinter in the world in 2013.
Pierro has already proved himself at stud, being a champion first, second and third season sire in Australia. He is already the sire of 7 individual Group 1 winners including Levendi, Pierata and Arcadia Queen. It is no surprise that he currently stands at a service fee of $137,500 at the renowned Coolmore Stud, and how lucky are the VIC Husslers to have a colt by this super sire.
Bellinger
As a $99k purchase, Bellinger is one of the least costly purchases across The Racing League. Winning three races in his first campaign for The Vic Husslers, he is also one of TRL’s most-winning horses. The most thrilling aspect of being an owner of Bellinger is his racing pattern. If the race has strong speed on, get ready for a truly exhilarating experience of Bellinger flying home.

Pardon my French (Almanzor x Clemency)
A $176,000 purchase from the Melbourne Premier Sale in 2022. Pardon My French is by the exciting Almazor who is the sire of a Karaka Millions and Vic Derby winner in his first crop of runners. This 2yo filly hails from the 5x winning Redoutes Choice mare Clemency, who is a daughter of a G1 winner and also a sister to a G1 winner in Dreamforce.
Pardon My French will be trained by the all conquering Maher/Eustace stable and is a potentially exhilarating prospect for owners in the Vic Husslers. https://inglis.com.au/sales/info/2022+Premier+Yearling+Sale/catalogue/431.

Dubious x Rambla de Flores
Ciaron Maher trained Dubious to enormous success and wasn’t leaving the sale without his daughter out of Rambla de Flores. Dubious was the fastest ever winner of the Group 3 Breeders Plate and went on to win the Group 2 Champagne Stakes. Along with being the son of champion sire Not A Single Doubt. She’s a filly that co-trainer David Eustace declared as ‘undoubtedly the best Dubious filly to go through the ring’ Magic Million week. The filly gives every indication she will be an early comer with the plan to be back on the Gold Coast in January next year contesting the $3 million 2yo Classic.

Trapeze Artist x Earth Sky
The Vic Husslers should be extremely excited to secure Lot 815 Trapeze Artist x Earth Sky filly in partnership with Lindsay Park. By hotly sort after sire Trapeze Artist, a four-time Group 1 winner, this filly was a must have for Lindsay Park and TRL. “We can’t get enough Trapeze Artists in our stable and this one looks a beauty”, JD Hayes said. Trapeze Artist broke Black Caviar’s race record in the T.J Smith Stakes and has certainly stamped his stock. On the dam’s side, Earth Sky is from a strong family, with a full sister who is a Group 3 winner, Pretty Pins. She is also a half-sister to Group 1 winner Allez Wonder.

VIC HUSSLERS TRAINERS
Moody, Price, Maher and that’s only half the team!
The VIC Husslers can proudly boast they have some of the best trainers in the country on their team but perhaps their secret weapons are the new kids on the block who are showing that a holistic approach and incredible facilitates bring consistent winners too.

Ciaron Maher & David Eustace
Initially they said he was only a “former jumps jockey” and a trainer of “hurdlers”, but now Ciaron Maher is at the top of the heap and is arguably the most sort after trainer in the country. He was an apprentice to the great CS Hayes and spent time learning from Bart Cummings.
Like Ciaron, David knows to be the best, you have to learn from the best, so he moved to Australia, where he worked with Peter Moody and the Snowdens before joining Ciaron as his assistant. Two years of learning Ciaron’s methods and adding his own via a thorough approach with meticulous attention to detail made it easy for Ciaron to make David his co-trainer, and they continue to achieve success together, culminating in victory in the 2022 Melbourne Cup with Gold Trip.
Already Ciaron and David have taken Lethal Thoughts and the Vic Husslers to two Group 1 events with the promise of more to come. We are overwhelmed to have them both as Vic Husslers trainers.

Lindsay Park
The third generation of Hayes family sons proudly and officially took up the Lindsay Park training reins on 21 June 2021.
Ben at the age of 31, was joined by his younger brother JD 26, while Will has also now join the training partnership to open a new era in the 74-year long history of the Hayes family business. As sons of David and grandsons of Colin Hayes, these 3 have been finely educated in horsemanship and are firmly dedicated to continuing the integrity and success of the stable so the tradition can continue.Lindsay Park has done a great job with Bellinger who has provided plenty of wins and thrills for Vic Husslers owners.

Matthew Cumani
Matt’s approach seamlessly blends the best of old-school horsemanship with his own take on globally informed techniques and up-to-the-minute industry advancements. He boasts ten year of experience under the tutelage of some of the world’s most celebrated trainers including Chris Waller, Ed Dunlop and of course his father, Luca Cumani.
Matt established his training enterprise at one of Australia’s premier training destinations – Ballarat, Victoria – where he believes the more rural environment is better suited to the training regime of his horses.

Mick Price & Michael Kent Jr.
Mick Price never wanted to be the biggest trainer, but he certainly strives to be the very best and is driven every day by the love of the horse. He has firmly established himself as one of Australia’s leading racehorse trainers since taking out his license in 1991, having 38 Group 1 wins to his name.
Mick has the best of both world’s with his city stable based at Caulfield, along with facilities at Warrnambool where his horses can work and frolic along with beaches. In 2019 he formed a partnership with Michael Kent Jr., and the two of them continue to achieve success together on the track.

Peter Moody
Peter Moody is a born again horse trainer and a larger than life character. When you hear his name, you instantly think of the legendary mare Black Caviar, with 15 of her wins coming at Group 1 level. His journey is nothing short of extraordinary, starting from the dusty race tracks of far North Queensland before culminating with victory at Royal Ascot with his mighty mare Black Caviar.
Peter Moody’s first major winner was Amalfi in 2001 and first Group One winner was Amalfi in the 2001 VRC Victoria Derby. He now trains a small amount of runners out of Pakenham, and is loving being back in the training game achieving success once again.

Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young
Trent & Natalie are a formidable partnership both on and off the track. They first met as two Kiwi teenagers working at the Kranji track, things took their natural course, and the pair moved back to New Zealand as a couple and started their training partnership.
Trent and Natalie now train out of their Cranbourne base, and while they’ve made their name training stayers, they are eager to prove they are just as successful with two-year-olds. Their partnership has so far netted many winners, including a VRC Derby with Sangster and an Australian Derby with Tavago, as well as many stakes winners. Trent and Natalie continue to figure prominently in the top 10 of the Victorian trainers premiership. They train Edge of Dreams for the Vic Husslers
VIC HUSSLERS AMBASSADOR
AFL Premiership winner and Brownlow medallist Shane Crawford has always had a deep passion for the racing industry.
In fact, the 300 game Hawthorn star actually worked in the Freedman stable during their “golden period” when the stable boasted the likes of three time Melbourne Cup winner Makybe Diva.

VIC HUSSLERS MANAGER
The word “versatile” doesn’t really do justice to the multi-talented jockey Chris Symons. The accomplished horseman has many strings to his bow. He has ridden in over 12,000 races and guided home more that 1200 winners on the track, but he’s just as famous for his work away from the course.
Symons is also an integral part of the Seven Network’s coverage of horse racing and his horse back post-race interviews with winning jockeys are certainly different in a positive for the industry. Chris’s deep knowledge of the thoroughbred and the horse are a major bonus for the Vic Husslers.
