WHAT IS TRL

The Racing League (TRL) is more runners, more winners and more thrills. TRL is a teams based League for horse racing. Your premium horses race in the normal eco-system at Randwick, Rosehill, Flemington, Caulfield, Eagle Farm or Doomben for example. But in the process of earning prizemoney they also earn points for their particular teams the QLD Rogues, the VIC Husslers or the NSW Tycoons. Earn points per race and climb the ladder to take first place and win the premiership which is decided on Everest/Caulfield Cup day.

this is race day as a TRL Owner

It doesn’t get any better than this, stepping up to chase back to back wins! See what it is like to be an owner on raceday with the QLD Rogues and The Big Goodbye

After a great win at Flemington owners were out in droves to see Team Captain in the Pakenham Cup

There is no greater excitement as an owner than the very first day the horse you own makes his or her debut. Just ask the QLD Rogues owners who were shocked then amazed with Larrikin Rogue’s first run.

What you need to know about the League

TRL is like leagues you are familiar with, a season that runs from the Everest/Caulfield Cup through to the Everest/Caulfield Cup the following year. Each team consists of up to 7 horses, two ready-to-racefive horses plus 5 younger horses. If your horse earns prize money, that prize money is allocated to your team and then divided by 1,000 with the total in your points column. The team with the most prize money/points at the end of the season will be crowned TRL champions.

What TRL costs as an owner

There are up to 10,000 units per team and units are $260.

In addition to the purchase price there is an ongoing monthly fee of $20 for the first unit purchased and a $5 fee for any subsequent units purchased. You can own a single unit or up to 50 units.

And when the horses are sold at the conclusion of their TRL career (via a public auction) you share in the proceeds on a pro rata basis. If a colt turns into a stallion prospect you share in the proceeds of the sale on a pro rata basis. A performance fee applies to TRL.
