SUBZERO – The People’s Horse & national treasure

No other racehorse had an impact on so many people.

On the track he won 3 Group 1’s, the Melbourne Cup, The South Australian Derby & The Adelaide Cup. He had a career race record of 48: 6-6-5 and earned over $2m in prize money. Off the track, he achieved so much more.

The Australian Prime Minister is called in

His career ended in 2008 due to arthritis, and it looked like it would be fatal when the medication he needed became unavailable in Australia, but his owner Graham Salisbury was having none of it; he sourced medication from overseas & had the Australian Prime Minister approve the customs importation of it! Graham saved Subzero & thank goodness he did!!

An incredible horse & bond

Subzero’s intelligence & personality, and the bond he had with one amazing human will have you battling your emotions when re-living the incredible Subzero story. This is a must-watch.

The world’s kindest horse

Regularly visiting schools & terminally ill children in hospitals, he brought smiles to the faces of so many people who were facing extreme difficulties. He raised over $10m for charity & was rightfully regarded as the world’s kindest horse and a national treasure.

What a champion. What a legend. What an animal. What a bond. What a life.

Subzero, the Grey who had the greatest impact.
