The Vic Husslers are off and racing in The Racing League with Bellinger making a promising debut for the team at Sale yesterday (Wednesday October 6).
With the Sale track rated in the soft range, there were some doubts from Lindsay Park whether to push forward and run Bellinger, in the end they did and were certainly happy with his first-up fifth.
“We decided to ride him quiet, he flopped out the back but they went slow up front which was always going to make it hard” trainer Ben Hayes said.
“He’ll be much better on a firm surface, he’ll take great natural improvement from that and was strong through the line” Hayes added in his post race comments.
Bellinger will have a couple of days to recover before Ben and JD Hayes decide on his next assignment.
Plenty of good times in store for the Vic Husslers particularly once we are all allowed back on the track. Go Husslers.
