Big week ahead for all TRL owners

Oct 4, 2021

It is a massive week ahead for owners in The Racing League with four runners hitting the track to start October. We have all states hitting the track this week, with more to come over the next few months. It really is all starting to heat up!

October 4: The Sherpa, looking to go back to back at Muswellbrook for the NSW Tycoons

October 6: Bellinger, makes his debut for the Vic Husslers over 1100m at Sale

October 6: The Big Goodbye, back in action for the Qld Rogues at Doomben

October 9: The Captain, makes his debut for the Vic Husslers and Matt Cumani in the Hamilton Cup

Let’s first take a look at The Sherpa who is racing at Muswellbrook on Monday October 4 in Race 4, with jockey Ashley Morgan hoping to make it two wins from two rides on him this preparation. If all goes well, Brett will be targeting the Highway on Everest Day in a few weeks. What a thrill that would be! Relive The Sherpa’s victory at Scone a few weeks ago to get you ready for the run:

It is a big week for the VIC Husslers with two runners ready to hit the races in the one week! Bellinger makes his debut for the VIC Husslers on Wednesday at Sale, with in form jockey Jamie Mott taking the ride. The team at Lindsay Park have been very impressed with his work this preparation, and can’t wait for him to be the first runner for the Husslers this Wednesday.

Yulong Captain is ready to take on the Hamilton Cup on Saturday October 11, with trainer Matt Cumani having planned out a nice preparation for him over the next couple of months. The end goal is making it into the Listed Pakenham Cup on December 4 over 2500m. We can’t wait to see how he goes on the track! His form so far is solid so there is no reason it won’t continue to be so over the next few months.

The Big Goodbye is ready to run at Doomben on Wednesday October 4 after a bit of a hiccup following his last run in early September. He has drawn barrier 6 in Race 5 on Wednesday with jockey Taylor Marshall taking the ride. With his gate speed the barrier shouldn’t be too much of an issue, and he looks hard to beat. Relive his last start effort when he narrowly missed out on the win at Eagle Farm:

So what are you waiting for? The excitement is really starting to build in all three states in The Racing League! Owners might not be allowed at the track in VIC or NSW currently, but that won’t stop them cheering home their runners from the lounge room. Who will come out on top of the ladder following this weeks racing? Become an owner today for just $200 and $20 a month and live the excitement of race horse ownership!
