HANG ON TO YOUR HATS
Talk about getting the heart racing, what a massive weekend it’s set to be for The Racing League.
Two of the big guns return in Team Captain in the Heatherlie Stakes at Caulfield, while Lethal Thoughts steps out in elite company in the G 3 Up and Coming Stakes at Rosehill Gardens.
On Sunday, Luna Rocks is set to return at Wyong with Penso A Lei also there for the NSW Tycoons still searching for a dry track.
Time to check out the major chances from your trainers this Saturday.
LETHAL WILL ONLY GET BETTER
Lethal Thoughts is ready to rock and will only get better from Saturday’s first-up assignment in the Group 3 Up and Coming Stakes at Rosehill Gardens according to trainer Ciaron Maher.
Keep in mind this bloke has only had 3 starts and is coming off a cracking effort in the Group 1 JJ Atkins when beaten just over a length and stamped himself as a horse to follow.
His barrier trials have been super and while the 1300m may be shorter than his best, we trust he’ll run a super race.
At Caulfield, Ciaron’s best is Generation (Race 6) who looked good in the trials and won fresh last campaign.

CUMANI TO CAPTAIN THE SHIP
Team Captain takes his first step on the road to qualifying for the $8 million Melbourne Cup in Saturday’s Listed Heatherlie Stakes at Caulfield.
Trainer Matt Cumani is “delighted” with him and is more than happy with his decision to miss last Saturday’s 2040m race on a Heavy track at Moonee Valley.
If there’s a decent pace in the Heatherlie, Team Captain’s “turn of foot” should come to the fore.
We may get some cash with Hanaady (Race 1) trained by Cumani. Is coming off a win at Sandown, is up in grade but fit.

HAYES BOYS ARE GENTLEMEN
There’s no disputing that Ben and JD Hayes are “fine gentlemen” and they have a pretty handy horse in Gentleman Roy (Race 4). He’s coming off a sensational last campaign where he registered 3 wins.
Lady Of Honour (Race 2) will probably lead and should have plenty of fight when resuming last start.

PRICE SET TO STRIKE WHILE FRESH
Promising 3yo Jacquinot resumes for Mick Price and Michael Kent Junior on Saturday at Caulfield. She was the real eye-catcher in the Blue Diamond and subsequently raced extremely well in the Golden Slipper.
Against her is the fact that she gets back and needs luck in running.
BET: Jacquinot – Each Way (Caulfield Race 5)
GAI LOOKING FOR BLOOD
Alligator Blood is now under new ownership but remains one of the most exciting and well-known horses in the country.
He is the reigning Stradbroke champion, a very good fresh horse and will go forward and make his own luck in the Memsie Stakes.
At Rosehill, Aeecee Express (Race 7) is close to double digit odds and was placed first-up and won last start and looks to be on an upwards path.

BET: Aeecee Express – WIN (Rosehill Race 7)
GOLLAN TO UNLEASH NETTUNO
Most of our Qld Rogues owners would be aware of Nettuno, he won the race at the Sunshine Coast in which Greylander made his debut.
Nettuno is unbeaten after 3 starts and while this is a tough assignment he can keep his unbeaten record intact.
Spiritulised (Race 5) has won 2 of 3 this prep and should win again.
Liza With A Zee (Race 8) is $5 with Sportsbet she is coming off a strong win at Doomben and will race on the speed.

O’DEA LOOKING TO PLAY FETCH
Steve O’Dea reports that Helluva Barty is getting closer to the barrier trial and pleasing him immensely.
Fetch (Race 1) won 2 of 3 this campaign and the 1,000m suits here.
Ocean Treaty (Race 2) is short on Sportsbet $2.90 from barrier 4 should get the run of the race.
Need New Friends (Race 8) went close at Doomben now 3rd up and ready to win.

Great to see the positive video posted by Racing Qld on Leah Kilner’s recovery.
Her master Rob Heathcote might finish the program with a winner in Hatchet (Race 9). He does have barrier 15 which is never a help but does go forward and hopefully can use its early speed to get across.
BET: Hatchet – Win (EF Race 9)
Good luck and good punting.
