Hollywood came to the picturesque country town of Scone this week with the filming of a big budget television commercial for The Racing League. Our TRL cameras were there for a behind the scene tour with director Dylan Harrison.
The quiet suburban streets of Scone were shut off pre-dawn to allow filming, before action moved to thirty riders charging as one on the polo fields of Gundy.
Filmed over two days, but months in the planning, the thirty second commercial features up to fifty locals who represented the everyday Australian who had previously been locked out of ownership because of the high costs.
And they did exactly that, as the locals dressed as doctors, nurses, plumbers and office workers showed off both their acting skills but also their horsemanship.
