LUNA ROCKS SIZZLES BACK TO FORM

Jan 25, 2023

The champagne and beers flowed in celebrations for the NSW Tycoons’ owners who provided one of the biggest cheers ever heard at Goulburn Racecourse when Luna Rocks burnt the turf in returning to winning form on Monday.

It’s fair to say that ‘Our Luna’ was massively down in grade but still had to get the job done over the 1000 metre dash (Race 2)  and thankfully as a $2.80 favourite she delivered in scintillating style running the fastest final 600 metres of the day.

“That’s a real confidence booster for her” co-trainer Will Freeedman said.

“That’s her style, has a high cruising speed and likes to dictate. She deserves a rest now, it has been an arduous prep for her, with a lot going wrong” Will added.

Luna Rocks will have three to four weeks in the paddock, with the Freedman camp looking to bring her back for the Winter and take advantage of the Soft tracks which we know she loves.

“If she is going well, there will be some stakes races for her to compete in, but we need to get her in conditions to suit which is some sting out of the ground” Will said.
