There’s a huge contingent of NSW Tycoons owners heading to Scone to cheer on their favourite filly who’s rated a $4.60 at Sportsbet second favourite behind the very impressive Godolphin trained In Secret.
Luna Rocks drew barrier 9, may come into 7 with scratchings and ideally Richard would like her to find a back of the leaders and chase hard down that long Scone straight.
It’s each way all day for Luna.
Don’t forget Juan Diva (Race 6) at Eagle Farm. She bolted in last start at Caulfield and in a wide open race looks extremely hard to beat with some luck.

Local Scone legend and NSW Tycoons trainer Brett Cavanough has a nice horse in Sungblue (Race 1).
It was unlucky last start at Gosford and never saw daylight when finishing third. Sungblue will be a better horse on the big Scone track and gets through Soft ground.

GAI IS AWAY BUT ADRIAN IS ON A MISSION
NSW Tycoons trainer Gai Waterhouse is away enjoying the majestic bluegrass studs of Kentucky but co-trainer Adrian Bott is on a mission with Military Mission.
He looked a certain winner last week at Gosford before being nabbed on the post, giving the leader 8kgs.
Military Mission is a promising stayer and I’m sticking.

MAHER/EUSTACE KEEPING THEIR OPTIONS OPEN
When you have a nice horse you have options, I Am Me (Race 6) has accepted for Scone and Flemington.
She’s a talented filly who has had 3 starts for 3 wins this campaign, she bolted in at her latest start and will continue to build the picket fence.
At Flemington, Ice Pick Nick has been firm in the Sportsbet market at $3.50. It had 2 wins from 3 starts and was trapped wide last time but the two wins were very good.
Through Irish Eyes (Race 7) has been consistent without winning, this could be his day on a drier Flemington surface.
How Womantic (Race 9) is one that really caught the eye running good times at the jump outs in the lead up to this first-up assignment. It has won 2 of 4 fresh and I’m on board.

HAYES BROTHERS CONTINUE TO RUN HOT
The temperature may be dropping on the Eastern Seaboard but the Hayes brothers are still running hot. The boys train Barretta (Race 5) it’s a $10 chance with Sportsbet which had no luck last start but pulled up with a slow recovery.
The win before that was very impressive $10 looks like juicy odds.

DOOMBEN 10,000 SWITCHED TO EAGLE FARM
Hard to imagine the prestigious Doomben 10,000 is being staged at the Eagle Farm circuit but that’s a good decision considering the amount of rain in Brisbane.
Tony Gollan has two main chances. Ashgrove (Race 7) is at the juicy odds of $15 with Sportsbet. His 2 runs this campaign have been good and Jamie Kah has taken the ride.
Palladas (Race 9) had no luck first-up at Eagle Farm when always wide with more luck here will certainly be hard to beat at $4 60.

O’DEA/HOYSTED TO FLY THE LIDS
Qld Rogues training duo of O’Dea and Hoysted should get us off to a flying start at Eagle Farm.
Tara Jasmine (Race 1) won 3 straight last campaign in NSW and was then transferred to Brisbane. She has enormous ability but is untested on a heavy track.

HEATHCOTE LOVES STARTANTES
There’s a great reason that trainer Rob Heathcote has a soft spot for Startantes, she’s a very talented 3-year-old filly who proves plenty of thrills for the stable. She thrives on Heavy going, just missed out in the Surround and was very good last start in the Victory Stakes.
