Sire – Written Tycoon

Pippie wins the G1 Moir Stakes

While Written Tycoon has been a consistent top ten stallion for many years, 2020 has been a phenomenal year for the multiple Champion Victorian Stallion.

Flashy mare Pippie kicked off the year in fine style, winning the G1 Oakleigh Plate to become the eighth individual winner for her sire before the Edmond’s Racing-trained Tyzone captured the G1 Stradbroke Handicap to become his ninth.

The start of the new racing season saw Pippie resume with her second elite level score, defeating a high class field including G1 winners Trekking, Bella Vella and Hey Doc in the Moir Stakes to become the first dual G1 winner for Written Tycoon.

The Spring carnival in both Sydney and Melbourne saw the latest rising stars for Written Tycoon when his juvenile stakes winner Ole Kirk recorded back to back G1 wins in the Golden Rose and Caulfield Guineas to set himself up as one of the most in-demand stallion prospects in the country.

Not be out shone, 3yo filly Odeum went within a whisker of her own G1 double, winning the Thousand Guineas against her own age before a narrow second in the Empire Rose Stakes against the older mares.

Starting off the new racing season in such impressive fashion taking his overall G1 tally to 11, Written Tycoon’s number of individual stakes winners this season has already bettered any previous season, further highlighting that the best is yet to come.
