Joe Pride had no family link with the racing industry, and was actually studying psychology at University when the fascination with the horse struck and he joined the powerful John Size stable, learning his tricks of the trade.
Joe proved himself to be a quick learner and when Size shifted to Hong Kong, Pride took out his own training license and quickly made his mark. He started by focusing on improving tried horses like Vision and Power and reinvigorating them to achieve Group One success.
